This position requires a highly motivated self-starter, ready to work in a fast-paced production environment to perform planning and production control functions in support of QP's operations departments; oversee department manufacturing schedules, providing statistics and resolutions as needed to management to meet on time delivery. Coordinate all contracts via software, ensuring hardware is available to support schedules; develop and maintain manufacturing plans to streamline delays in construction schedules; develop and maintain manufacturing plans to streamline possible delays in construction throughout area of responsibility.  Job responsibilities include: - Reconcile activity and work order spans to construction spans - Forecast and report departmental manufacturing rate requirements - Coordinate issuing of work orders to shop floor all trades, to maintain consistent workflow - Provide direct interface as a day-to-day point of contact for all software/hardware related issues - Work closely with engineering to resolve any discrepancies found during the construction process - Chair status meetings, assign priorities and report status and non-supports as necessary. Electric Boat Riggers participate in all indoor & outdoor lifting, handling and moving of heavy loads at the facility.  - Riggers will be required to use typical rigging equipment that includes but is not limited to straps, cables, chains, slings, block and tackle, pulleys, and booms - Riggers will work with mobile cranes with a capacity of up to 120 ton and overhead cranes (radio control and pendent control) with a capacity of up to 60  ton. Riggers will eventually become trained and qualified to operate overhead cranes and forklifts along with types of handling gear. - This position requires the use of hand signals to communicate with mobile crane operators to ensure all lifting and handling functions are completed properly and safely - This position also requires work to be performed on ships, barges as well as indoors and outdoors - Candidates will be required to work at heights, confined spaces, inclement weather and support extended hours and overtime as business needs dictate This position is located at the North Kingstown, RI location.

Hybrid (Tool Crib and ECC) personnel are responsible for ensuring that the welder’s and shipfitters have everything they need to complete their assigned tasks. Among these responsibilities you will find yourself installing temporary utilities, installing and monitoring preheat and providing necessary tooling and consumables from a number of Tool Cribs located on-site.   On the ECC side of the position, job assignments put the technicians on the deck plate level providing support to the Operations Tradesman by installing temporary lighting, Temporary Utility (Industrial Gas, Compressed Air, Electrical) distribution systems as well as installing and monitoring welding preheat on ship’s components.   In Tool Crib position, job assignments will land you in one of the many Tool Cribs found on-site issuing much needed equipment and material to the trades so they can successfully and safely complete their job assignments. You’ll be responsible for issuing weld wire, consumables and tooling with high levels of accuracy using our in-house inventory tracking program. Aside from the issuance of material, you will also be tasked with performing inventory control, shipping & receiving, equipment maintenance and upkeep duties. Along with the some of the core competencies listed above, you may be assigned to assist more technical roles such as repairs and maintenance to Welding & Electrical equipment, repairs to pneumatic air tools, spearheading Calibration and Pipe Plug Control Center efforts, Storm-related preparations or cleanup efforts and inspection/upkeep of specialized Personal Protective Equipment. To be successful in this role you must be a motivated self-starter that does not settle for “good enough”.
