    Job Description

    Support multiple classes of delivered submarines in the fleet. Analyze shipboard modifications, perform calculations, select material/equipment, prepare technical reports and troubleshoot technical issues related to: compressible (gas) and incompressible (water, oil) fluid systems, HVAC systems and operating mechanisms. This position offers possible travel opportunities to conduct hands-on support of submarine systems.   

     

     

    Education/ Experience

    Required qualifications:

    • Bachelor of Science degree in either mechanical or aerospace engineering.
    • 0 – 2 years of experience.
    • Knowledge of fluid systems, mechanisms and strength of materials.
    • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Previous marine, shipyard and or Navy experience is a plus.
    • Good communication (written and oral) and organizational skills are desired.
