The COLUMBIA Class electrical systems engineering department has an opening for a highly motivated engineer to serve as a member in the area of computer control systems design of the underwater electromagnetic systems team.
Responsibilities include the following:
Candidates must be highly motivated, work independently and be willing to interact with other engineering disciplines, vendors and the design community.
Bachelor of Science in Engineering required, Electrical Engineering preferred. Background in military applications preferred. Experience with any of the following preferred: DC power supply design, cathodic protection theory, electric field theory, magnetic field theory, software development, and electronics design.
The candidate should possess strong written and oral communication skills and be familiar with systems engineering principals.
