Electric motor and generator repair shop Lead Tradesman. Ability to perform motor refurbishments, rewinding, rebuilding and testing. Direct and train shop motor mechanics, motor winders and machinists to perform motor shop tasks. Ability to wind AC and DC motors and generators from fractional horsepower to units as large as 4 MW, and up to 12.6 KV. Ability to read and understand technical documents. Ability to liaise with technical/engineering authorities to resolve manufacturing and repair processes. All candidates must be willing to support the company’s goals of safety, quality, cost, schedule and continuous improvement.
High school diploma / GED or equivalent required.
At least 10 years of experience as a motor winder.
Not an entry level position; EB is looking for a skilled electric motor shop technician with the ability to lead and manage shop personnel.
Ability to perform the functions of the craft to comply with procedural standards and policies in a safe manner.
Ability to assess and estimate electro-mechanical and motor/generator repair costs and methods.
Experience and expertise with quality based procedural compliance, documentation and testing.
Ability to obtain a DoD secret clearance required.
Vocational school and/or apprenticeship desired.
Dynamic Balancing and Vibration Analysis experience desired.
Estimating experience preferred.
Military experience and/or government contracted work performance desired.
