D460 instrumentation – Requisition for Assistant Information System Security Officer
This position supports D460 instrumentation services, an engineering department that utilizes various data acquisition systems to provide shipyard test and troubleshooting support. The work performed by this individual will be in direct support of VIRGINIA Class new construction testing. The successful candidate will be an assistant ISSO responsible for security related requirements for several classified and unclassified computer based data acquisition and network systems. This includes performance of weekly audits and monthly antivirus definition updates, installation of OS security patches, maintenance and update of security plans and support of internal and external audits for these systems. Development of security and IT related procedures will be part of this work. The candidate will also be responsible for coordinating department special and capital property. This includes inventory of assets, tracking material location, and life cycle management. He/she will regularly interface with the engineers in the group, system administrators, EB security and the US Navy as part of carrying out these duties.
The individual must be able to work in both a lab and shipboard environment.
