    Job Description

    Design Department is presently seeking highly-motivated entry-level Draftsmen with the ability to develop arrangements for propulsion plant and non-propulsion plant fluid systems.  These arrangements are developed from system diagrams, design sketches, layouts and/or concepts, manufacture, assembly and test data.  There are multiple openings within D452 Piping and Ventilation. 

    Education/ Experience


    • High School diploma/GED or Vocational High School diploma with relevant work experience between 0 and 2 years. 

    • Demonstrated proficiency in drafting (portfolio) with Computer Aided Design (CAD) is required (AutoCAD/CATIA/NX preferred).



    • Two year Technical School/College preferred. 


    A portfolio demonstrating CAD work, knowledge of Microsoft products, familiarity with basic design practices/rules and CAD tools, ability to perform design related math functions, ability to read and interpret written instructions, the ability to read and interpret drawings (blueprints), and the desire to develop skills through on-the-job experience and continued education to advance in the design profession. Familiarity with Design Standards, Military Specifications, Manufacturing Processes, Design for Six Sigma, Lean Design/Manufacturing is a plus.
