    Job Description

    The Level II NDT Technician is responsible to record all inspection functions on applicable paperwork in accordance with the customer policies and procedures. Have the skills and knowledge to set-up and standardize equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results. Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the technique/method. Have the skills and knowledge to conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard.  Have the basic knowledge of relevant product manufacturing and inspection technology.

    An important aspect of this position is to be capable of providing the necessary guidance and/or supervision to trainees in the capacity of On-The-Job instructor.

    Commitment to company values and ethics dependability: personally responsible, completes work in a timely manner, and performs tasks accurately; must maintain a positive attitude and strong work energy; advanced computer proficiency (particularly PAUT/TOFD acquisition and analysis software such as “Tomoview”); and possess strong judgment and decision making.

    Education/ Experience

    • Associates degree (A.S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; one to five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • The candidate is currently certified as a Level II PAUT and ToFD inspector.
    • The successful candidate will have appreciable experience in industrial activities such as shipbuilding, power plant construction or oil/gas distribution construction.


    • Must possess current ASNT Level II certificate (SN-TC-1A, NAS-410, or CP-189) in the NDT method responsible or company specific certification; and possess adequate knowledge in the NDT method responsible.
    • Proven ability to perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice.
    • Proven ability to prioritize and complete work assignments by specific deadlines.
    • Must be able to communicate with supervisor and co-workers.
    • Must be able to support various shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd) depending on company’s needs.
