Job Description

Electric Boat offers an excellent learning environment and real life experience for college students.  The Finance interns are provided with tasks that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating.  With the guidance of Electric Boat's senior staff the Finance Interns will assist analysts, buyers/planners and systems coordinators with preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts payable, processing labor and payroll adjustments, analyzing labor returns, projecting future costs and updating information in management information systems that create performance reports and track production activities.  Each intern accepted into the program will be given a Mentor for duration of the internship.  As an intern you will have the opportunity to gain real life experience in the work force, and apply the skills acquired in school related to the HR area of interest.  

  •  Must have the ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Get projects and assignments done on-time or early
  • Applicants should be able to communicate well, both orally and in writing
  • Applicants should be experienced in Microsoft Office


Education/ Experience


  • 18+ years of age
  • Must be a US citizen. 
  • Students must be going into their Sophomore, Junior or Senior year of College as of May 2018
  • Must be available to work a minimum of eight (8) consecutive weeks between May 2018 to September 2018.
  • Must be enrolled in Accounting, Finance or related degree program            


* Ability to write SQL statements desired for some positions
