Job Description

Project Manager, cognizant of Nuclear Regional Maintenance Department (NRMD) Business Areas, is a core staff member of NRMD New London reporting directly to the NRMD Director.


Manage planning personnel assigned to Material & Scheduling functions of NRMD.


Manage contractual submittals, bid proposals & evaluations for NRMD.


Develop & maintain NRMD Project Manpower Plan.


Develop & maintain NRMD Departmental Manpower Plan.


Provide technical & administrative input to all NRMD MOA's & Work Agreements with other Projects/shipyards.


Become the local subject matter expert for the NRMD Contract.


Oversee cost, manpower, & schedule returns in assessment of depart. performance.


Maintain Customer Relations with Local Contracting Officer & other NRMD Business personnel.


Provide support to Program Office(s) for all NRMD budgetary, contractual & performance issues.


Develop & monitor Overhead Budgets for Dept. 792.


Collaborate with NRMD PQE to develop NRMD's assessment, goals & submittals for NAVSEA 08 Audits.


Support the Emergency Planning On-Scene Incident Command Team.


Obtain/maintain Radiological Worker (R) Qualification.


Education/ Experience


  • 10+ years of Naval Nuclear Experience 
  • Strong understanding of the Nuclear Overhaul & Repair Business 
  • Broad background & understanding of the Nuclear Overhaul & manpower systems




  • Bachelor's Degree in Technical or Managerial curricula 



  • Must have & maintain a DOD Confidential (or higher) clearance
  • Strong organizational, communications, & problem solving skills
