Job Description

The CAD Systems group within Electric Boat Information Technology (EBIT) contains a diverse group of engineering and support personnel who provide a wide variety of support to EB’s CAD and related systems. This support is in areas such as data transfer, security controls, user support, and the growing area of data migration. It is in the area of data migration that the CAD Systems supervisor is seeking to add an Engineer to the team. Data migration is best thought of as the movement of a set of linked data, in various forms, from one collection of systems to another.

The new team member will develop, enhance, and troubleshoot different migration software routines and monitor them through their processes. In addition, this new team member will assist in resolving issues encountered with pre and post migrated data. Also, the team member will help to ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified and documented.

As EBIT/CSC projects are initiated to enhance migration processes, the new team member will lead, or play significant roles in such projects. The team member will also lead or assist assisting in other tasks assigned by the CAD Systems Supervisor and team leads.
